DVDs from Periscope Film are presented in DVD-R format. Our DVDs will play in 99.9% of DVD players made since 2001. However, if you are seeing any of the following symptoms: Blocky image, long pauses during playback, jumping ahead, or the disc simply will not play, then you might have a damaged disc or an incompatible player. The best solution is to play the disk in a different player, or a computer with a DVD player. If it plays back fine in this second DVD player, the issue is that the first player is not capable of playing DVD-R. You then have two options. Since new DVD players can be purchased from Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and Costco for around $40.00, we highly recommend purchasing a new one. (Although we benefit from not having to take back a return, we also think you will enjoy the added benefit of not having any future DVD compatibility issues, especially at the low cost of these machines.)
