In the wake of the fall of France in 1940, Adolph Hitler turned his sights to Great Britain. Before an invasion could begin however, the Royal Air Force would have to be destroyed.

Hermann Goring believed the task would be a fairly simple one, but he reckoned without the resolute British people and the valiant Royal Air Force.

Flying Hurricanes, Spitfires and other aircraft, R.A.F. pilots achieved a kill ratio of nearly 2.5, halting the German onslaught after four months. Never in the field of human conflict, said Winston Churchill, was so much been owed by so many to so few.

Featured on this DVD is The Battle of Britain, the epic documentary made during WWII by Frank Capra. Also included are seven other historic films about the British war effort. These include a pre-war review of the fleet by the King, newsreels about the fall of France and the Battle at Oran, two films about the Nazi V-1 and V-2 rocket weapons, and Men of Lightship 61, a rarely seen, but intensely moving, British propaganda film.

Digitally remastered and restored from original 16mm film prints, some of the films on this DVD have never been made available to the public. Because of their age and rarity, image and sound quality can vary.

Films are black and white. Over 110 minutes of material.
